Gustav Mahler: Symphonie N° 1 «Titan»

During this «Side by Side» concert, talented musicians from Luxembourg’s conservatories take their seats next to members of the Luxembourg Philharmonic. On 09.03., they perform Mahler’s First Symphony, formerly known by the epithet «The Titan», under the baton of Nuno Coelho. With its striking melodies (one of which recalls a famous children’s song), sumptuous orchestration and dramatic episodes, this work must surely count as one of the greatest music achievements of the «fin de siècle». A symphonic evening in grand style!

The concert will be recorded and broadcast on radio 100,7 on April 24, 2024.
