Piano and beyond

They say the piano, with its 88 keys, is an orchestra in itself. Throughout the month of March, the Philharmonie will show audiences that this instrument may also hold the key to their hearts…

Here are a few selected highlights to journey on towards World Piano Day, taking place –that’s easy to guess!– on 29.03., the 88th day of the year...

 

Hélène Grimaud

The journey commences pianissimo on 05.03. with Hélène Grimaud. With the touch of her fingertips, the French performer interprets intimate classics from Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms.
